We hope you’re enjoying the holiday season, but there’s still plenty going on!
Second Annual Thurgood Marshall HS Paddle-A-Thon!
see all 16 pictures in the photo section – see it on facebook
Despite the rain, there was a great turnout and some great participation by current and former Ripples! We hope you had a great time helping a great cause, and that you didn’t get sick afterward!
Space Ripple Ski Trip in Tahoe, February 10-13!
There’s still time to sign up for the annual ski trip with our sister team Space Dragons! If you didn’t receive the email, please sign up on the evite here, clear your schedule and get your things ready [you have, like, 2 months to do it]!
Lodging and a resort are still being sorted out, but wherever we go it’s guaranteed to be a great time!
Wondering what our annual ski trip is like? Here’s the video from last year!

Great job to all our Lake Merced Christmas Relay Runners!

Keep up the good work, everyone!
Our ticket out of this town??
Thanks to everyone who made it to the lake last Sunday to help the team audition for TV! This was our last team event of 2010, but even with the season long over, your enthusiasm went a long way!
Video section overhauled!
We’ve just added 35 new videos, with a ton of content from 2010 and all the year-end slideshows since 2004!

Re-live the adrenaline of an old race, the challenges of our Ripple Amazing Race or the memories of bygone years! Have a look!
We’re still looking for even more family-friendly clips to add (specifically 2010 Long Beach), so please let us know if you have footage to contribute!
For some, the season never ends!
Can’t wait until practices start again in February? Don’t worry, we’re putting together lots of social events, workouts and volunteer events to help tide you over! Check your inbox for the latest information- and drop us a line if you’re not in the loop!
That’s right, the UK-based Cooking Channel has requested to audition our team to be part of their hit show “Chinese Food Made Easy.” They’re coming out to the SF Bay Area to showcase the area’s cuisine diversity and would like to feature dragon boating as a part of that.

Afterwards, the chef, Ching-He Huang will cook a meal for the team!
We’re still awaiting additional details, but in order to have a successful audition (i.e. they don’t pick another team to feature), we need as many people out at Lake Merced THIS SUNDAY at 10 a.m. to show them our Ripple spirit (wear your jerseys!) and explain our love for the sport AND FOOD (we’re Ripple, duh).

Please block off Sunday morning on your calendars if you can!
Would love to finally tell the world about Ripple via TV!
Thanks,
Hungry Hippo (Kristine)
