Karaoke night next Friday May 6

Are you a karaoke pro? Do you sing along with radio in your car? Have you been itching to bring out your inner gleek? Well we have the event for YOU! Here’s the info:

We’re renting a private room so space is limited.  We will cap the number of participants at 30. This event is 21+, sorry!

San Francisco Giants Chinese Heritage Night Tuesday May 10

On Tuesday May 10 we’ll be heading to the ballpark to watch the Giants take on the Arizona Diamondbacks! There will be festivities before the game to celebrate Chinese culture and you’ll also get a bobblehead!

Feel free to invite your friends and family to join in on this annual Ripple social!  Who knows…you might end up on the “Dance Cam” like a certain someone did last year!  Hope to see you guys there!

May 14 Paragon Point Race moved to Lake Merced

This season’s first CDBA Regatta will now be at Lake Merced! Please adjust your travel arrangements accordingly and sign up on both the evite and the online CDBA waiver! Instructions have been sent out via email, so please check your inboxes or email ripplesf@gmail.com to get in the loop!

Practices will soon be closed to paid members only, but after May 14 feel free to bring your friends out to give the sport a try.

Well, technically, we won’t be allowed to practice next Saturday, but that’s okay, we’ve got plenty of stuff planned! Great job making it out to the lake this week!

No Saturday practice at Lake Merced due to Youth Race

The youth dragonboat race at Lake Merced features some of the toughest high school competition in the country! If you’ve never got a taste of a dragonboat racing event, come on down to the lake and cheer on the Ripple paddlers and coaches taking part!

Muir Woods Hike this Saturday!

Let’s enjoy this nice weather we’ve been having by going on a hike!   We’re going to head up to Marin County and hike through Muir Woods and the Mt. Tam area with a stop at Stinson Beach for brunch.  It’s going to be about a 7-mile hike but we will definitely go at a nice leisurely pace so that we can enjoy the scenery, take countless pictures and even hug a tree to say thanks to Mother Nature!

We’re planning on meeting at Sharkie’s house at 10am and then head out to Marin together.  If it’s more convenient for you to meet us in Marin at the trailhead, please let us know so we can give you directions.

10am – Meet at Sharkie’s and head out to Marin
11am – Arrive at Muir Woods and begin hike
1pm – Arrive at Stinson Beach (about halfway through the hike) and have lunch
5pm – Finish hike and head back home

Friends & Family Day this Sunday!

Get everyone you know to try the sport! We’ll be having a potluck barbecue, as well as some time on the water for everybody! It all starts at 10am, so come on down!

Great job on the water this past weekend! The weather’s getting better, so now there’s no excuse to stay home!

Happy Hour Friday April 15

We’ll be having our first happy hour of the season at Sanuki Udon in Japantown! It’s in the building uphill from Peace Plaza, on the second floor. Best part? It’s $6 all you can drink SAKE until 7:00pm (but please consume alcohol within your limits!)

No water practice Saturday April 16, Marin Hike

The Youth Dragonboat Race will be happening all day at the lake- But it’ll give you time to recover from our happy hour and to go on a hike in Marin that we’re planning!

Friends & Family Sunday April 17

Our tenth season is still young and we’re eager to meet new faces that want to test out the sport of dragon boating and old faces that we haven’t seen in awhile but miss greatly (we need you back!). We’ll be having a BBQ potluck — and as you know, we love our food — so come feast with us and get a little water splashing time in!

We will be having our Ripple karaoke night at Pandora which boasts a full bar with private karaoke rooms.  If we have a full room, the cost per person will be approximately $15-30/person for three hours depending on food/drink orders.
